There are enough people with the correct knowledge of the game to counter all the false rumors. I know I'm not in anyway involved with Sigil, but I would worry less about numbers now than I would about the game itself. There are a lot of loyal people her on the OVF already. Sigil should develop the game, SOE should advertise. Just my thoughts.

I've always enjoyed the grass roots marketing, posting on boards, supporting fan sites, and SOE is handling, with our input, the big stuff: previews on major sites like gamespot, articles in the major publications, placing ads in pubs and online, creating point of purchase materials for when the box is in the store, printing the boxes, etc., making promotional videos, etc.

Plus I do my posting on my spare time -- it's something I truly enjoy and have since the days before EQ 1 was released.

Also, remember, it's not about convincing someone who is antagonistic or who has it our for the game. It's about getting accurate information out to the rest of the people that read these boards, most of whom lurk.

ps. I'm nowhere NEAR a billionaire. Did very well with EQ, but not even close to those numbers
