More accurately, we have a contract with each other. It defines responsibilities. Some are SOE's (hosting the game, for example), some are Sigil's (developing the game), and some are both (say, Marketing, where SOE pays for it and does a lot of it, but we have input and oversight).
That's a terribly simplistic version of the contract, but hopefully it gets the point across. Contractually, they can't interfere with our responsibilities, and vice versa, and then some responsibilities are shared. As for people who have said, well, what if one side ignores the contract: the contract is legally binding.
We also have a great relationship with them, we have great friends over there, and so far their hosting of beta and the results of them both working with us on PR/Marketing plans and them implementing those plans have been great -- check out the whole week of Games Radar coverage this week:
