Anyway... Let me make sure I understand this...

When you open a Supply Kit from a 5 item WO:
1) a roll is performed
2) that roll determines what table is used for loot (trash, gear, etc or recipes)
2a) if it a recipe table then another roll is made for which recipe.

Would look something like this maybe (simplified obviously):

1-800 = cash loot
801 - 900 = green gear/attuning
901 - 980 = blue tool/rare reso
981-995 = blue gear/ultra reso/focusing
996-999 = rares (special tool, rare resource, rare crystal)
1000 = recipe

Blacksmith Table:
1 Horseshoes
2 Armor Upgrade
3 Weapon Upgrade
4 Runes

Roll 1-1000.
Get 1000 (yay!)
Roll 1-4
Get 3
Recieve Weapon upgrade recipe

Is that about right? Thats how I always assumed it worked, and how it seems you say it works now.

If so, something else outside of your realm of code might be causing a problem. Because statistically speaking, far too many people are "breaking the odds".

I've gotten 7 T5 recipes now. 4 Armor Upgrades, 3 Weapon upgrades. The odds of me getting 7 recipes and not once getting the 2 "difficult" recipes that everyone is having problems getting is 0.7813%. I'm not a unique case. Also, I have a degree in both Mathematics and Engineering so I'm very familiar with odds, probabilities, and statistics.

The odds are the same as taking 7 pennies and throwing them in the air and having them all land on heads. Try it. I bet you can do it tons of times before you get the very situation I'm in along with many others. Sure, its possible have a bad streak, but its not statistically reasonable for so many to have the same issue.

I believe you've checked it many times. I believe that the tables actually are even as you say. I believe you've done tons of testing. But... there really has to be some elusive bug out there, probably not even associated with your area of code, that is causing what we see, because its not a unique experience for a couple of us. It's a common experience, even tho statistics alone say it should be extremely uncommon.

If it was indeed some code issue we would see rampant issues with loot tables gamewide and we don't. Crafting loot uses the same code and functionality as any other loot table in the game. The code on live is no different then the code on dev when it comes to loot tables.
