I'll double check the issue with the Nihilistic Storm Particles - if they were not in the patch note, then it's very likely that they did not make it into the latest patch.

To answer mscouts777, yes clerics do currently need the medium armor to upgrade to the plate version - I had designed things that way to offer more versatility to the cleric with the non-upgraded armor set.

It's not the ideal situation, but it is better than limiting the usefulness of cleric armor if they only had the option of melee plate - and definitely did not want to add a specialized drop-set for clerics only as that universally affects the drop rate for everyone else.
