You got his booby loot; now that you know how to spawn/activate the encounter, it should be apparent that a Heroic every encounter might be too much

On the other hand, I may have a trick up my sleeve regarding the issue but it might not go live until next week; in the meantime, I'm anxious to see how the encounter works out on Live :)
