I'm probably just the opposite. I don't think I've ever worn a purely analog watch. My "gotta have at least one expensive watch" geek watch is this one. The hands are arranged in analog time keeping fashion, but it's still all completely digitally controlled and still has a tiny LCD display.

My everyday watch is a cheapy Timex I got at Walmart over 13 years ago. I've gone through 4 wrist bands and 2 batteries with the thing and it just won't die.



My watches have no Digital displays.

My grandfather is a recognized fellow in the Clock Makers association. Even at almost 90, he is very active in repairing and building his own clocks. He also collects pocket watches and has quite a few from the 1800's. I grew up helping him take apart and fix clocks and so the beauty of clocks, with their gears, springs, and hands, just appeal to me on a very personal level.
