So....at much to my chagrin I saw that the only cloak labeled "medium" gave out dex and + to sneak(which is worthless for me) but I took it because I really thought I had no other choice. You should be able to tell what you can and can't use by whether it's high-lighted in red in the quest reward window or not

Unless that's currently not the case on Live?
