I don't think I use my abilities more than they do, I do get hit a lot. I would have to question based on my empirical evidence what was really happening. And its not like I can stop using my abilities or else the silly casters end up getting squished.
Getting hit seems to cause a much higher proportion of durability loss. I think it is too much right now.
Ok, I /think/ we have identified the warrior/paladin/heavy tank issue with armor at this point. Last time I thought this however, we were wrong. I cannot get this issue addressed prior to this coming Tuesday from a code standpoint, and I'm unsure when a build made on Tuesday of next week would hit the servers.
We stepped through the code and the modifiers for abilities and currently the refresh time of abilities is playing a role in your chance to take durability loss. It also plays a roll in getting "critically" dinged on armor. Warriors, Paladins, Dreadknights, etc all have a subset of abilities with long refresh timers. This combined with some streaky rolls on the Random Number Generator can result in your armor getting dinged unfairly.
Claims of faster durability loss than the previous patch however, we cannot repro at the moment.
